Stylist Spotlight: Say Hello to Lizzie Viola

Writer: Tease Hair BoutiqueTease Hair Boutique

Say hello to Lizzie Viola, a South Shore local and one of the newest members of the Tease Hair Boutique Associate Program! Growing up in Marshfield as the middle child of three, Lizzie graduated high school in 2020 during COVID with plans to attend college. After a semester at Salve Regina studying psychology, Lizzie decided that her passions lie elsewhere and began pursuing a career in cosmetology.

As someone who has always been passionate about the beauty industry, Lizzie leaned into her love for makeup artistry by working at both Ulta and Macy’s beauty counters. She then decided to pursue this passion by becoming a licensed cosmetologist and attending Toni & Guy Hairdresser School in Braintree. While she originally attended Toni & Guy with the plan to specialize in makeup artistry, Lizzie fell in love with hair styling and technique during her training and decided to pursue a career as a Hairstylist.

“Since I was a kid, I always loved hair, makeup and skincare so when I left college, I decided to go into the beauty industry,” says Lizzie, “I originally wanted to go into the makeup side of it, but I fell in love with creating beautiful hair.”

Upon completing the program and becoming licensed, Lizzie began her search for a salon to call home. When she came across Tease Hair Boutique, she felt an immediate connection to the staff and loved the educational aspect of the Associate program. As a member of the Tease Hair Boutique Associate program, Lizzie would have the opportunity to learn from some of the best stylists on the South Shore, gaining hands-on experience and perfecting her techniques. She also enjoyed the emphasis on team bonding and relationship building that Tease offers to all stylists.

Since joining the Tease Hair Boutique team, Lizzie has enjoyed working on her blonding and color techniques and the art of blowouts. She also loves giving clients head massages during their washes, providing an extra layer of relaxation to the salon experience.

When Lizzie is not at the salon, she enjoys attending live music from local artists as well as going to the skatepark. She also loves spending time outdoors, particularly going on beach vacations anywhere warm. If she didn’t have to work for a living, she would probably spend most of her time traveling and trying new adrenaline-rush inducing activities.

When asked what her favorite part of being a stylist is, Lizzie responds “Getting to do the hair of my friends and family and just being able to make people feel beautiful. It’s the most rewarding part of being in the beauty industry!”

Next time you’re at Tease Hair Boutique make sure to say hello and give Lizzie a warm welcome!
